I wasn't raised in a Christian home.  After I grew up and started working I began going to bars and drinking and partying with the guys.  I led this lifestyle for several years and didn't realize how my selfishness was hurting my wife and family.  My marriage wasn't good and my wife said she would leave me if things didn't change. She started attending a Spanish Assembly of God church and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.  In the meantime, I had an uncle who was an alcoholic who had started going to church and became a Christian.  His life changed dramatically and I thought, if God can do that for him maybe He could do the same for me.  I started going to church with my wife and one day after the service, I went into the Pastor's office and he shared with me the verse John 3:16.  It was May 23, 1985 that I gave my heart to Jesus and knew right away the burden had been lifted from my life.  I praise God that he delivered me from alcohol on that very day. 

I count it a privilege to be involved in the ministry of Champions In Christ.  I had never ridden a motorcycle before but God put the desire in my heart and now I have my own Harley and ride with the group.  I am having a great time being a witness of God's love and mercy.
