Juan Carlos Gonzalez was born in El Salvador. He was a sponsored child to the Child Care Ministry in Latin America. Juan Carlos responded to the call of God at an early age. At the age of 17, he was a youth pastor. Juan Carlos attended Vanguard University and it was there he met his wife Colette. Upon graduation, the Gonzalez' embarked and responded to the call of God to go to Japan. Juan Carlos and Colette have been in Japan since 1994 and work as church planters where they are involved with two already planted churches. Based on the island of Kyushu, the Gonzalez' help the existing churches to reach out in evangelism to their areas. Gospel music concerts have attracted crowds and have presented a way to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Juan Carlos and Colette have two children, Nicolette (14), and Stephen (9).
